This holiday season I decided to put together a not so vague gift guide series. You have so many different types of travelers so why create something for the masses? Maybe you don’t even want to talk about gift giving because like me, you’re broke and can only afford some handmade salt scrub. Don’t let that deter you, I’m sure your mom would love ANOTHER kitchen towel set…but lets focus on the girly girl on the go and what you can surprise her with this holiday season.
This item is perfect for a diva on the go…but even better for making that overstuffed purse lighter as you travel. I went backpacking in February, and this took the place of my bronzer, blush, eye shadow AND highlighter. When bringing multiple palettes and compacts just aren’t in the agenda, this shimmer brick is sure to bring some sparkle to your next vacay.

2. Travel Size Perfume
I am obsessed with travel size anything. They are just so freaking cute. My favorite being travel size perfume because I start to get self conscious about smelling bad around strangers. Plus, I have been around some stinky ass people who could use a whole bottle to smell better. Either way, some travel sized perfume is a stocking stuffer for that special girl in your life. Not to mention, instead of buying a $90 of Burberry, you can have 10 smaller bottles of all different name brands. I live by the quote from a gay guy that I will never forget…
I wear 2-4 colognes at a time so no other bitch ever smells like me.

3. Blanket Scarf
What girl doesn’t like a gift that can be used for multiple things? This has become one of my favorite things to travel with, especially in the winter months. It can be used as:
- An over sized scarf to make a statement with any outfit
- A shaw for when you have to cover up in sacred places (Duomo’s etc)
- A blanket when you find yourself on a chilly plane, train or bus
- An over the shoulder cardigan thing to spruce up your boring wardrobe
- A beach towel if you happen to be going somewhere tropical ( A sarong is more ideal for this though)
- A pillow AND a back support (I usually roll it up and put it behind me when I’ve been sitting for too long)
- A Hijab if you are traveling to a certain area of the world and want to be respectful
- As a strangulation device if your roommate in the hostel is snoring too loud
Okay, maybe not the last one but you get the idea.

4. Fuzzy Eye Mask
I added the word fuzzy in there because that is definitely girly girl style. I really want one now that I am writing about it. I have a boring old turquoise one that shuts out light pretty well, but something soft and fuzzy just sounds so much better. This would add some fun to any travel girls wish list.

5. Face Wipes
I swear by all wipes. Face, body, vagina wipes…you name it. They are the perfect alternative to bringing more liquid than allowed like makeup remover etc. The Global Girly Girl definitely likes to stay fresh and clean throughout her trip, and planes can get very dry. Arrive at your next destination fresh faced and ready to take on the day by adding these to your gift list!
Get it here: Face Wipes ($3) …I also get the wipes from TJ Maxx that have a 60 count for $3.99!
6. Funky Sunglasses
I feel like I say I am obsessed with a lot of things because I AM! Sunglasses are no different. They are a way to make a statement without spending so much money. Easy to switch out and great for any weather. I am in love with the Sojo’s because they fit my face just right and have an array of colors! Plus, they block the
haters which is what every girl needs!

7. Passport Cover
I personally like the Kate Spade passport cover because my boyfriend bought it for me! Makes me stand out above the rest…but maybe you don’t like to stand out because your boring and hate cute things, which in that case, this list isn’t for anyways. BUT, if you know a girl who loves to travel in style, get her a gift like this. I find it much easier to find my passport while traveling in my crammed book bag or purse. Makes it much harder to lose or fall out of something too!

8. Fun Phone Case
Say what you want, but Asian girls put me on to this trend. I went on a buying spree, trying to get my hands on the most ridiculous and obnoxious phone cases you could find. I was always so jealous of those girls in the mall talking on ice cream cones and lollipops. Might sound a little weird but I thought it was so cute! Global girls like to make a statement wherever they go so “treat” them to something special this year with a little something out of the ordinary.

9. Duffle Bag
A weekend with the girls, a tropical vacation with your family, or just a solo trip to a new city…every girl needs the perfect duffle bag. Don’t be a selfish bitch this holiday season and get something she will use for years to come.

10. Detangler Brush
I swear by these brushes…I end up breaking them occasionally (or they get eaten by the dog) but they are the perfect little power tool to take on the road. Much smaller than a regular brush, but duel action for wet and dry hair. I love shoving one in my purse and one in my toiletry bag because you don’t want to walk off a 9 hour flight looking like Chewbacca now do you? My hair just loves to somehow knot itself into one big cluster fuck so instead of having hurricane hair, get that special girl in your life one of these (please, save her the embarrassment…I went a whole day with a huge tangle in my hair and only saw it when I tried to take a picture on my tripod. SOOOO ANNOYING)

Okay bitches, what did you think?? Will you be getting that global girly girl something she can oooo and ahhhh over?? AND JUST SO YOU KNOW, I have almost all of these things on this list…I hate telling people to buy something when I haven’t tried it myself. I guess you can say this is really just a list of all the things I have wanted in the past, and bought for myself, so now I get to share them with you! Make sure to give the that globetrotting girl in your life something she will LOVE! What little prezzies would you recommend?
